Who is Auntie M?
I am Molly Baron. I began participating in theater when I was a kid. Every summer
for five years, I was actively involved in my local community children's theater. During that time I wrote and directed my first play. I also belonged to a singing/dancing group called the Super Troopers. In high school and college, I continued acting and working behind the stage on crew. It was a lot of fun and I made some wonderful friends.
I've lived in Texas, Idaho, Arizona, Utah, Hawaii, New Mexico and Virginia.
Since graduating from college with a degree in Recreation Management in 1997, I
have been busy raising five children.
This picture is me when I was about 10 years old. I was in a play about Raggedy Ann and Raggedy Andy and I played one of their stuffed animal friends Patty Panda.
It has always been my dream to run a children's theater and bring to kids the opportunity to participate in theater, like I had when I was a kid. Theater helps kids to build confidence in themselves and not to be afraid of being in front of people. Auntie M's Children's Theater is all about having fun and being a part of the wonderful world of theater arts.
I have recently published a book for pre-teen and teen girls called The Band Girls: Go Band Go. It is available to purchase for Amazon's Kindle HERE.
